Vacation Day 2 in New Orleans!!

With the tropical storm in the area, our cruise got delayed over 7 hours so we had some extra time to play in New Orleans. We had one room that we kept so anyone in our group could come and rest if they wanted.. and we stored all the luggage in the room too.

It wasn't long till we were all out in the city..

Heading back to get the bags to take to the port to check them all in before we boarded the boat..

We ended up getting a cab back to the hotel..

and we arrived..

Scott got his vodka all hidden in water bottles to take on the cruise!

And away we went..

We had to go check on mom at..

and this is what we found!!

Out we went and

took off to the boat..

The port was only about 5 minutes away from our hotel..

so away we went!!

The terminal was really busy.. But we were in and out. They held our first load of luggage while we went out to get another car load..

and when we pulled up, Mom was waiting on us.

We took the other bunch of luggage down and then headed down to take the cars to be stored.

And when we got there Don ended up putting on his sport jacket

and I just thought he looked so cute with his loafers, shorts, shirt, sports jacket and lets not forget the white hat!! Too Funny!

I forgot to include this video from New Orleans Night 1 in the other post so I am putting it in here!

It was actually kinda fun. I am not a huge fan of New Orleans but we actually had a good time!

Carnival put everyone up on the 3rd floor of the Marriott Hotel. So we had to wait in this really long line to get checked into the cruise.

It was crazy..

But it moved pretty fast and before I knew it, we were in the seating area waiting to be called!

It wasn't too long before we got on the boat!

New Orleans!!

Just a quick hello! I am in the room right now that we are sharing with with my sister and her boyfriend.. Mom and Don took care of the rooms down here for us all so we are bunked together. Right now its 119 am here and everyone in the room is asleep and I am in the bathroom chatting with a friend and blogging! At least I am not bothering anyone in here! Its a big bathroom!!

So the above picture is our entire party of family and friends that are we are spending vacation with. I am not going to name them all right now but I will later!

Scott and I ..We had a great time down here so far..

We played around the french quarters for a while..

and really taking every moment in that we can!

I uploaded many of these pictures on facebook already.. I have TONS more.. But I doubt I will get any more up before we board the boat..

The weather down here is not as bad as we thought it would be. It rained some through out the day and night but it wasn't that bad.. Our boat has been delayed a couple hours thought.. I think we are boarding around 7pm and setting sail around 10 pm.. Thats ok.. The hotel will keep our luggage and we will play some more in the french quarter or in the casino!

I have to tell you guys about my mom.. She loves slots.. loves them.. So I gave her 20 to play for me and told her to stop at 100.00.. she didnt.. she stopped at 120 for me and I loooooove it!!! She has always helped me that way! Scott as you can see hit the black jack table for a while... We came out ahead!!! So it was nice.. already gave mom $ 20 for tomorrow!

I need to talk to a couple friends real fast because I don't have time for emails..

D. T. I hate that you haven't been feeling well. I was really glad to get your email but I really wish you would call the Dr again and see if they can get you in any sooner for your procedure. I hate it that you are not feeling well..I care about you so take care of yourself! I will email you when I get back! Tell husby we say hello!

C.B. I thought you were upset. Sorry I didn't respond with the text. I forgot my car phone charger and I didn't want to use the phone until we were where we could plug it in. Sorry if I hurt your feelings.. I figured you just didnt want to talk.. I'll call when we get back but not mad at all!
