COMPARISON.. Loreal Lineur Intense Liquid Liner vs Maybelline Line Stiletto Liquid Liner

Ok friends!!

This post is a comparison post between 2 drug store liquid liners.. Now.. I am not paid to do this review.. I bought these myself and this review is strictly my own thoughts and opinion!

So lets get started..

Here they are.. They look pretty close to the same don't they!?

There is a difference.. A price difference.. The Loreal Lineur Intense Liquid Liner is the more expensive one. It cost about $ 10.00 while the Maybelline Line Stiletto cost around $ 7.99.

Both liners come with exactly the same amount of product..

.05 fluid ounces

and both are the flexible felt tips.

As you can see in the above picture each of the felt tips are exactly the same length.

The main and only packaging difference is the handles. The Maybelline is a round handle and the Loreal is a longer handle that starts out round and ends rectangle.

Now on to the product..

As you can see both look exactly the same. The Loreal Lineur Intense Liner is the 2 lines on the left and the Maybelline Stiletto is the 2 lines on the right.  Neither of these come in water prof but when applied they are pretty much identical. At first I thought the Loreal was more " shinny " but after looking at them under the light.. they appear to be very much the same. I also thought at first the Maybelline might be a little more watery but after shaking it a little more.. it wasn't. Both have little a little bead in them to help mix the product before applying.

Both liners are capable of a wider liner and a thinner line.. hence the flexible tip. I actually find the Maybelline Line Stiletto easier to handle being its not near as long as the Loreal but I really like them both.. even with the longer handle on the Loreal liner.

I rubbed my hand after the liners dried and neither of them flaked. I have read some reviews about each of them flaking on some people but I have not experienced that problem and I have been using the Loreal Linear  Liquid Liner for a few weeks now. Of Course I have not used the Maybelline as long, but even in the past few days of using it.. it has not flaked on me at all!

My final opinion... THESE ARE EXACTLY THE SAME!!!!

The main difference between this two is the price.. and that's not even a huge difference.. I am very happy a facebook friend sent me a link to the Maybelline Line Stiletto because I had not seen it at my local stores.. If that is the case with you, look towards the bottom. I am not sure why they put there but at my local CVS and our Walmart the Maybelline Line Stiletto Liner was at the bottom of the display, making it hard to see and hard to find.

I have been in love with liquid liners here lately. I also love gel liners but these felt tip liners sure make applying liner fast and easy with no other brushes needed. I have read that some like to use a angled brush with these but I don't think that is necessary. It just takes practice to get the hang of using these and after you do, I am sure you will love them as much as I do!!!

Hope you liked the comparison. Shoot me an email kishajaggers@aol.com and let me know if you have tried either of these and what you think of them.. and if you haven't has this review/comparison made you want to buy one to try it out!??? LET ME KNOW!!!!

Maybelline Great Lash Loads of Lashes Review!!

In yesterday's haul ( You can click HERE if you didn't see it yet ) but one of the things I got was this..

Maybelline Great Lash

Mascara. Now.. I have not used this mascara in many many years.. What comes to mind when I see it, is this is the mascara I remember my mom having in her make up bag when I was little. With so many new mascara's hitting the market over the past few years, this one kinda got pushed to the side..

But yesterday, I had to get it. What really drew me to it was this..

Brush. Is that not a cool looking brush!? I just liked it.. When I saw it I knew that it should work well to get the little lashes ( with the tip ) and also add volume with the larger base. They call this a " heart " shaped brush and I guess looking at it now from an upside angle.. I can see the heart shape!

So here it is.. all lubed up with mascara...

As you can see..

with the shape of the wand, it does clump a little on the bottom of the brush.

See.. it seems to clump just at the bottom area.. but also the..

wand tends to get a little product on it too.. What I recommend it wiping the wand off just a little with the tube before applying it to your eyes..

When I put this on today..

I was really really really surprised at how well this went on my lashes. Now this is not the best picture.. one of the reasons is my eyeliner was all faded and smudged but look at the mascara..

it really coated well.. and I am sure that if I would have taken more time, it would have looked even better!

I am very surprised that I am blogging that I like this mascara but the truth is.. I really do!

This is Maybellines gift to 40 years of Great Lashes. Yep.. its been around that long! I mean.. they have to be doing something right to keep this brand on the shelves this long. Staying true to the original pink and green packaging, this mascara comes in 3 shades. Very Black, Blackest Black and Brownish Black. The one I picked is the Very Black..

This made a believer out of me! I can't believe I am saying this but I really like this mascara and I am shocked that its better than what I thought it would be! This retails for around $6.49 and if you are at all interested in trying this.. I soooo would! I think its a great mascara for the price and I am happy I bought it!! I might even buy my mom and sister one for Christmas!!

Have you tried this yet!!?? If so, email me and let me know what you think of it!

Swatches from Maybelline EYESTUDIO - Rose Revolution -

Hello!!

Hope you are having a great night!

If you saw todays CVS HAUL you know that I got some new cream shadow from the Maybelline EYESTUDIO line. I wanted to get the swatches up for you guys so you can see how these shadows look on the skin..

**** BTW.. I normally just take pictures of items right on my coffee table.. because its just convenient.. but I am changing it up a little bit because I want a white background when showing you make up. It makes all the difference with the colors.. So this is a new change that hopefully you guys will like better! ****

Now.. on the shadow!!

I have been looking at these shadows for a while now, and today I finally got one to try!

This trio was $ 6.99 at CVS..

Now.. most cream shadows will wear off quickly if you have oily lids.. I do not.. I use cream shadows all the time for a base and sometimes I have wore them on their own. If wearing them alone with no powder on top.. use a primer to help with the staying power.. Also another trick to cream shadows is using just a translucent powder over them and that will also help.

As you can see.. each color does not have its own name..

Its just # 15 in Rose Revolution

Here are the swatches without the flash.. I think they feel creamy but once they are applied.. they have more of a powdery feel.. I think the colors in this quad are really pretty.. I love how deep the brown is..

Here they are with a flash.. Still just beautiful..

I don't just buy the new things out.. I think these have been out for a while but today they stood out to me!!

Tomorrow I am going to do a ~ Todays Look ~ with these and we will see how long they last on the lids.. I can tell you that these swatches have been on my inner wrist since 4 pm today and its 1137 pm right now and they still look pretty good! I think for tomorrow's look.. I will not be using a powder unless its just a translucent one over them.

Again.. if you have oily skin.. cream shadows are really just not a good idea. They will always crease on you.. If you must.. always apply a primer and powder of the top. Most of the time I do like to use cream shadows for a base but these are so pretty I am just going to try them on their own..

Also if you are in a lot of heat.. these are not for you. Heat will make them melt.. just like most of your make up.. Summer make up is something we all have to take a little more care with.. but now that its fall.. cream shadows should last longer on your skin!

So.. have any of you tried these?  And if so.. what trio's do you like best!?

Will be back tomorrow with a look from this trio in Rose Revolution!

xoxo

Wednesday CVS Haul!!!

Last night I posted the comparison post between Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Liner vs the Loreal Linuer Intense Liner ( click HERE  to see that post ).. After that post went live on here, I one of my Facebook friends sent me a link to a liner that she uses. It was the Maybelline Line Stiletto liquid eyeliner. I was shocked.. Why haven't I seen this yet... She told me she found hers at her local walmart but today I decided to check CVS first. You guys know how I love CVS and all rewards I get there. I was in the right section.. didn't see it.. I kept look and long and behold I found it!!! It was on the very bottom of the rack almost to the floor.. No wonder I never saw it!!!

So while I was there, I picked up a few other things..

Here is my small haul from CVS..

I only got 4 things total but being I only went in looking for
1 thing.. its more than I expected to get today!

Here is the liner that she told me about!

It says it easily creates slender lines, All day wear,
and it is the smooth Glide Felt Tip that I love!!

This one is in # 501- Blackest Black

After I play with this for a few days, I will come back and do another post to review it for you guys!

While I was checking out all the holiday displays I stumbled upon..

This Maybelline Great Lash Mascara..

Now, I have not wore this mascara since I was in high school many many years ago! But when I saw the..

new brush that is suppose to give you lots of volume .. I decided I would also try this.

I am not sure how much I will like this but its worth a try..

This one is in # 141 ~ Very Black ~

Again.. stay tuned for a review..

In the same area was the Maybelline EyeStudio shadows.

These are cream shadows that are suppose to wear like powder ones. I have yet to try any from this line but I decided what better time than now!

This one is in # 15 ~ Rose Revolution ~

I will get these swatched and review very soon.

I love neutrals and I am hoping to love these. The display said they don't crease and are very long lasting.. That's kinda hard to believe with a cream shadow.. but again.. I will put them to the test and let you know!

Last but not least.. I picked up some ..

CVS Make-Up Remover towelettes.

I use to buy the Neutrogena ones but found this are just as good but don't cost as much!

So that's it.. 4 things when I intended to get 1!!

Isn't that the way it always works!?

Stay tuned for all the reviews on these products..

A " Sickley " Tuesday.

Hello you guys!!

I hope each and everyone of you had a great beginning to November!!

Around here today our beginning came in the form of ..

a sick husby.. I mean he just was miserable all day..

I kept him dosed up with ..

this stuff but I don't think any of it did much good. He stayed grumpy and was wanting love and to be babied most of the day and night.

For dinner I made him..

Grilled Cheese and Chicken Noodle Soup.. And NO.. I didn't make homemade soup! I took the easy way out tonight.. But this was perfect for a sick husby!

For myself I just had ..

a simple frozen meal of

Pasta.. You guys know me by now.. I'm a pasta girl!! Even this frozen Stouffers pasta makes me happy!!

Tonight I also got some new bedding on put on..

My friend Courtney just bought this set a few months ago and with Michael moving in.. it wouldn't fit his big king size bed..so she sent it over here along with her bed that we are storing for her.. Well.. she said I could use it.. but I really was hesitant because what if something happened to it while I was using it.. What if I stained it or a cat tore it up or something.. So we struck up a deal and I bought it!! I still have to pay her when I see her but I am happy now that I know if something happens to it.. she won't be upset!!

As you can see its really pretty and its really soft.. and now that I washed it and added a TON of downy softener it is super soft and smells amazing!! And it's waiting on me to curl up in! I know most of you know by now.. I choose to sleep in my own room most nights. I am planning on doing a post on it on Thursday ( married life post ) but Scott really snores badly. I can't handle it. I have serious sleeping issues as it is and you add a loud bed hogging snoring husband and I would NEVER sleep! We do cuddle up every night but its in his bed in the other room! I will say this now and say this on Thursday.. Our sex life is great.. I am 100% serious. Sleeping in separate rooms doesn't effect it at all.. So don't send me emails about how this is going to damage our relationship.. in fact, I think it has saved our relationship!! =) And when I do start missing him, I just go curl up next to him anytime I want!

I stayed pretty busy today. He slept the majority of the day so I worked around the house and found ways to be quiet.. I got so many things checked off my list including..

laundry..
God knows, I get so tired of this job but what makes me really feel good is looking at..

This is the shelf in the laundry room that gets soooo much use. It does make me a bit lazy about putting the clothes away but with it just Scott and I, we don't mind getting clothes out of the laundry room.

this basket empty. This is the laundry basket that sits outside the laundry room that gets filled up fast! I love when its empty!! Laundry is always such a big job around here. I still don't know how 2 people can make so much dirty laundry!

After Scott got woke up.. I finally got to

vacuum the house. I didn't want to wake him so I didn't get this done till after 8 pm. But another job that I am sure happy to have done. Everything is pretty much done down here except for the study.. I still have more unpacking in there that is waiting on me. I don't know why I haven't done it yet but the clock is ticking and I need to get my ass motivated to get that room done! Maybe Thursday I will take time to work in there.

Tomorrow I am hoping to get the upstairs cleaned up a bit more. We have a spare room that needs a lot of work. We still have mattress's leaned up against the wall and stuff just stored in there but I am tired of that. I want to make it really nice and comfortable for guest. I need to buy some additional furniture to go into that room but I don't want to spend a lot right now. With the holidays coming up.. I have plenty of things to spend $ on.. I am hoping to find some nice pieces around the thrift markets to put in there. I think I will start working on cleaning it up and organizing it a bit more tomorrow.

Sooooo.. did you guys watch Dancing with the Stars tonight? I sure didn't really care for Justin Bieber. I was happy that David Arquette was the one that went home. I just don't care for him. I think he is a immature child trapped in a man's body and I don't find that attractive.. and I wanted to see Nancy Grace go on for another week! I thought she really might be going home tonight but she didn't! But she it won't be long before she is eliminated..

I didn't show any of my favorite dances from last night.. There wasn't many but this one.. by far was my favorite!!

Her partner..Derek Hough is one FABULOUS Dancer.. I love Max the most but I sure love watching Derek!! They look great together!!

While I have been writing this pretty easy post, it has took much longer than normal because I am watching the old movie ~ Out of Africa ~ and I am hooked.. Its hard to look away and type!

If you guys didn't see my post yet about comparing the Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Liner to the Loreal Lineur Felt Tip liner.. You should!! Click → HERE ← to get to it. The difference between the two is pretty evident when you see the pictures. Now I should have put on that post that I think with the Gel liner.. the brush is what really made me not like it that much.. but also if you are going to be trying the Loreal Lineur liner be sure to get the FELT TIP and not the brush..It makes all the difference.. Also one of my friends on facebook sent me a link to another felt tip liner from the Maybelline Stiletto line. I haven't even see it out yet!! But tomorrow.. I am going to be on the hunt for it.. Super excited about that!! If any of you guys have tried it send me an email ~ kishajaggers@aol.com ~ and let me know your thoughts on it and where you found it! And of course if you have any thoughts on the other ones I posted by all means.. let me know!! You guys can always get a hold of me on my Personal Facebook Page ( if we are not friends on there and you would like to be.. all you have to do is send me a request with a small message telling me you are a blogging friend ) and I will be sure to accept you! You guys know my email by now.. I try to include it on most post.. and its at the top right side of this blog. I wish I could say I use my Twitter account but I just don't use it as much as I would like.. I simply forget!! But if you do contact me on there.. I will be sure to get back with you! I get a lot of emails now that I have disabled comments.. so if I don't get right back to you.. don't worry.. I WILL.. I try to sort them out every day and put them in the right folders.. ( blogging, personal, job related, etc ) and then I answer them. I love hearing from you guys and I value what you have to say! Tonight I learned of a new eye liner via facebook!! I love facebook.. and that is by far the fastest way to contact me.. besides calling or texting!

Its 2am here and I am going to finish watching this movie and get to bed!!

Swagger Jaggers has already beat me...

to sleep!! Is he just not the most precious thing ever??????

I am in love with these babies.. I just can't stop kissing them!! They consume me. Besides my children and husband, I can't think of anything else that has brought me this much happiness. I have to sell some of them but what you guys don't know is.. I am taking some of the money from selling them and buying another male that can breed with both Gabby and Willow and I am not any where near ready to stop this business.. I am grow it.. and Kisha's House of Persians is going to keep going! Husby hasn't heard this new plan yet but I am sure he will be ok with it.. He just wants me to be happy and believe it or not.. he loves these kittens as much as I do!
Have a great Wednesday Morning!!

Ohhh.. I forgot.. I have many pictures of the kids coming up tomorrow.. videos too!! Stay tuned!! Thank you mom! I love you with all my ♥

Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Liner vs Loreal Lineur Intense Liner

The other day I picked up this ..

Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Eye liner..

As you can see its waterproof, smudge proof and is suppose to last up to 24 hours..

Its got very simple instructions..

It also comes with a little brush ..

As you can see its pretty flat and not too pointed..

You can see this is a gel.. and it will glide on easy..

And here is the look I got with the Gel..

My thoughts on this is.. The gel is nice.. the brush needs a little work. I prefer a pointer thinner brush to apply gel eyeliner or liquid eye liner.

When I compare it to this eyeliner..

That I got a few weeks ago..

with its felt point applicator..

Here is the results I got with this product..

see the difference. This one is much much more precise.. As you can see i even use it under the lashes and it didn't smudge. One thing about this liner that it tends to be a little more shinny but I love it. I think the applicator makes it so easy. Hands down the Loreal Lineur Intense Liner is one of my top picks right now.. I can't always seem to find it at CVS or even Walmart but I can usually find it at Walgreens.

For some reason.. I have really been loving the cat eye look. I think I have wore it every day for over a week now.. I have been playing around and seeing what different looks I can come up with. I don't always line the bottom.. but I think it looks better when the bottom line is connected to the top line. Also this look would be 1000% better with fake lashes. But just for a normal day.. I go with a few coats of mascara and I'm done. I really like wearing the winged eyeliner look with browns, golds, and nudes. I think it just looks amazing that way. I know many of you struggle with getting this shape with the eyeliner and also making both eyes look the same. I am thinking about doing a post on how to do a cat eye look but its going to be extremely hard to do it with pictures and I am just not sure about doing it on video or not..

A couple of my tips are ( and this applies to Gel, Liquid or even pencil ) ..

Start in the middle of your eye.. as you work towards the corner go thinner with your line..

Then come back to the outer corner and work on the shape of the wing.. Most of the time, I come from the bottom and bring it up and fill it in..When you wing it out the tail should be tapered up and go very thin at the end.  You could also hold a piece of tissue from the corner of your eye at a angle that goes up towards the end of your eye brow, then draw your line.

A long time ago when I first started doing winged liner, I would use a pencil to get the shape and I would also use a q tip to get the lines cleaned up..  then carefully add my shadow to my eye and then go over the pencil with a liquid liner. And that really helped. I have also used a white soft liner to get the line right then went over that with my liquid liner.

For me now.. I just put the shadow on and then the liner.. but what I suggest..

PRACTICE.. PRACTICE.. PRACTICE..

So hands down.. I am more in love with the Loreal Lineur Instense Liner Liner!!

If you haven't got any yet.. try it!!

I think you will love it.. but make sure its the one with the felt tip instead of the brush because it works much easier!!

Lets talk.. FOUNDATIONS & CONCEALERS..

This post is wayyyyy over due.. Sorry it has taken me so long! One of the reasons this post was delayed was because I started out talking about all the foundations in the picture ↓ below..

But as I was working on it.. I decided that we don't need to discuss them ALL.. I am instead going to talk about my favorites.. Now all these except one is drug store foundations. I do like a lot of high end foundations but when you can find something equally as good for much less... WHY NOT!?

Ok.. here are most of my foundations. I have tried and tested every one of them.. and sometimes I start off not liking it.. but try it again at a later point.. and like it.. So go figure!

The first one I am going to talk about is the..

Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse. This is a oldie but goodie.

This foundation is blendable, buildable coverage, natural looking, doesn't feel like you're wearing make up, the amount of product will likely last a few months, very affordable, wide variety of shades available. If you have dry skin.. it will bring out the dry patches.. But its great when used over a moisturizer.

One of the things I don't like is getting the product out of the container. If you do not keep it sealed it will dry out fast.. I tend to use a Sigma F60 foundation brush and it does work well. Its firm enough to get the product out but soft enough to blend well. This foundation does transfer easily so I normally set it will just a little loose powder. This foundation does do really well to even out skin tone and cover scares and blemishes really well. A lot of people either love this foundation or hate it.. There is very little in between. I think if you have really dry skin.. this is not for you. I have normal to dry and it works just fine for me! I stock up on these when they go on sale.. ALWAYS!!! I love the way it feels on my skin and the staying power is great. This foundation is about $ 8.00.. so very reasonable for anyone to afford!

Now lets move on to the..

Concealer that goes along with this foundation.

Now this has been discontinued..but not to worry.. the buzz is that its coming back... This is a WONDERFUL concealer. I have 4 stock piled.. and I don't know what I will do if they don't bring it back! This concealer is a very buildable concealer.. I normally only need to apply one layer of it under my eyes..( I don't have normally have dark circles ) but it works great on blemishes too. I do have friends that build it up a lot to cover dark circles and they have told me that any more than 2 or 3 layers makes it look cakey.. I think this is one of the best concealers out there.. If you see some at any of your local drug stores, I recommend buying them all!!! They cost around $ 7.00 each.. and worth every penny.. if you can find them!

This foundation.. The Maybelline Fit Me Foundation has totally blown me away.. I never expected to like it.. but I do.. Lots!! This foundation is a sheer light foundation that blends really easily. It gives you a really nice dewy look. I think this foundation is great for people with dry to normal skin.. If you have oily skin you will for sure want to set it with a powder. I would say this foundation is a medium coverage but very buildable. I saw lots of review of it not lasting long.. again.. I think that happens more to people with oily skin. I have not really had that problem.. I have wore it for hours on end and at the end of the night.. its still on giving me great coverage! Another good thing is that there are tons and tons of shades to pick from.. In the summer when I am tanned I tend to use 125 but now in the fall I am about a 115. And sometimes I mix them for the right coverage.. Another thing I have done .. a lot is.. I have used the Maybelline Dream Matte foundation and over the top I have added this foundation.. That gives unbelievable coverage and the fit me works well to give you more coverage and a dewy look.. If you try this.. be sure to not go too heavy with the Dream Mousse. Or it will be really thick coverage!  I think this Fit Me Foundation is about $ 8.00 . A price I am so willing to pay for this foundation! I tend to use the Sigma F80 ~ Flat Kabuki to really work this foundation into the skin.

The concealer is pretty good too. I have used it a lot and again.. its not a heavy kind of concealer but for me it gives great coverage. If you need more coverage.. you might want to find a heavier one. I also bought the powder and blushes that go along with this line.. I want to say that the powder is great.. Its a light powder and doesn't take away that dewy look.. However, you will need to touch up after a few hours. Love Love Love this line!!

Ok.. this is another oldie but goodie!! I have raved about this foundation since trying it a looong time ago. I think this foundation cost around $ 10.00 .. which is a steal.. Ok.. let me start by saying this foundation gives me a really nice medium coverage and if I build it.. a full to heavy coverage. I don't really use the sponge applicator to blend this make up in. I find it doesn't work that great for me.. I like to use the Sigma F80 to really buff it into the skin. This foundation is super soft and blends really easily. This foundation has Concentrated Goji Berry and Collagen to help give your skin a lift and tighten your skin.. I think this foundation is GREAT... I use it a lot and its one of my top picks. I think it works great on lady's of any age.. and I am pretty sure my mom has tried this too and liked it. Ohh.. and how you use this is by twisting the tube and the foundation comes up through the sponge.

Ok.. this product is fairly new.. I got it a few weeks ago when I saw it on sale. I think this is normally close to $ 9.00 but I found it on sale for $ 7.00. Again.. this is the very same concept as the foundation. What I have found is that the applicator is so soft under my eyes. It really feels good.. I think the formula is a medium coverage. I really like this concealer. I tend to blend it in with my fingers more than anything else and for me the coverage is great. I have also used on a few blemishes too.. and it worked great. So I would really recommend trying it for yourself and seeing how well it works for you..

Ok.. this foundation has been all the rave here lately. I am going to shock some of you guys and say I am not crazy about this one. Its kinda pricey for a drugstore foundation.. $ 13.00. After reading all the reviews on this foundation.. I knew I had to try it. It is suppose to be the dupe for Nars Sheer Glow.. but I have found that I don't think its near as good.It is also suppose to give your skin a boost of antioxidants too. I used the Sigma F80 to apply this.. One thing I hate is the bottle.. But its basically the same for the Fit Me line too.. Bottles without pumps are much more messy..Anyway.. This is a light foundation.. It is buildable and I didn't really feel like I was wearing foundation. But I didn't think it was a full enough foundation for me.. I sure thought I was going to like it more.. But right now.. Thumbs down on this one. But.. You never know... I might find another way to make it work for me.. and if I do.. I will for sure update this post! I really was disappointed.. I so wanted it to work better for me!

Now I know I didn't include if any of these had SPF in them.. In fact they all do.. I am not a huge lover of SPF's in foundations.. I think they can tend to look a little too white and pasty from the sunscreen. I use a moisturizer with sunscreen and I find that more than enough for me. I am not a huge tanner.. I don't spend a lot of time in the sun normally.. I think many of us over do it with the SPF's a lot of times.. and with make up that's not always a good thing!

There are a few other drug store foundations that I like.. but these are my top picks! Well with the exception of the Neutrogena Healthy Skin foundation. I am hoping after trying it more.. I will begin to like it. I really wanted to like it more.. but its just not one of my favorites.

I do plan on doing a few more post of some of my other likes and dislikes with foundations and concealers. But for now.. hopefully this gives you guys a little help with drug store foundations. I will also do some post of higher end foundations that I also like a lot and a few that I don't like too!

What foundations do you use the most from the drug store? Let me know which ones are your favorites and which ones you don't like.. Just shoot me an email to kishajaggers@aol.com with your thoughts!
