Crabtree & Evelyn Review!!

If any of you guys saw the POST that I did that was from the gifts from Scotland that my mom got me. Well.. I am going to be reviewing a few of those gifts and today I am going to start with

Crabtree & Evelyn Chocolate Chip Shortbread along with the Crabtree & Evelyn White Chocolate and Raspberry Biscuits. ( In Europe, they tend to call what we call, cookies - biscuits )

Lets get started with the..

Chocolate Chip Shortbread

As you can see this is a traditional shortbread cookie with dark Belgian Chocolate Chips.

Here are the ingredients

Now these are made in Britain, distributed from here in the US and also in the UK

Each lid comes with this beautiful embossed

Crabtree.

When you open the container, the goodies are stored like this..

Sealed up so they stay fresh.

When you get them out you have a little

tray of the shortbread " biscuits"

Looking at them you can tell they are loaded up with chocolate chips. I tend to like a chewy cookie best but these were very good. I was pleasantly surprised at how well they tasted. I think they are everything a shortbread biscuit/ cookie should be. They are Scottish in orgin, buttery, rich, tender and crumbly biscuit. They can add almost anything to this kind of cookie to make it different. With this particular one, its the dark Belgian chocolate chips.

Now lets move on to the

Crabtree & Evelyn White Chocolate and Raspberry Biscuits.

They are a traditional baked biscuit/cookie with real raspberries and chunky white chocolate.

Here are the ingredients

Again, with these the packaging is the same..

A foil package in the cylinder container

And here is what you get with these..

These biscuits/cookies are a very crunchy and they are loaded with raspberry and white chocolate chunks.

I didn't really know what to think before I tried them.. but

this beautiful little treat was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One of the BEST biscuits/cookies I have ever ever ate.

I kid you not, these will knock your socks off.

-------------------------------------------------------

I have never had a Crabtree & Evelyn product in my life. I was not going to a review on these because I wasn't sure if I could find them online but after really looking over the package, I found the website and long and behold they sell these!

If you are interested in getting someone a delicious little box of food goodies, then really consider ordering them some of these. The prices are very very reasonable and the product is so good that you will savor every bite. I seriously eat 1 cookie nightly before bed. I would eat them all if I had more! I will be ordering more and I might just be ordering some for Christmas gifts.

These biscuits/cookies just melt in your mouth.

Check out the website at

Also they don't just sell food items. If you take time to browse around the website you will find items from skin care, fragrance, home, and food treats!

GREAT BISCUITS AND COOKIES!!

Also will be reviewing some of their teas in the upcoming days!

My day..

My day.. My day.. My day.. Hummmm... what to say.. Well for the most part..

IT SUCKED..

That damn dog is still missing and it has upset our entire house. But I tried to get back to normal a little bit..

I did make it to the store..

picked up a few things..

One of the best things I came home with is...

Now.. I know everyone has either a love or a hate relationship with egg nog. I was talking to my mom tonight and she said " I HATE EGG NOG" My response.. " When was the last time you tried it...1976 when I was born? " Her response.. " Nope.. it was longer than that" Ok. people.. I don't know what the hell egg nog tasted like then but with time, as with most things, I am sure it has improved. I didn't think 10 years ago, I liked it either.. but this is heaven on my tongue.I looooooove it.. So I want you guys to try it once again.. This is the time of year its in the stores and this Southern Comfort is a great great egg nog.. There is no alcohol in it.. unless you put it in..and it cost about $4.00. Its amazing.. and I am going to do a upcoming post soon because there are so many things you can do with egg nog.. You wait.. I think you will be surprised at how much you can do with it.. So stay tuned for that post.. This is my before bed snack tonight.. I can't wait!! I tend to really like it a lot and it is heavy in calories. So I have to limit myself.. otherwise I would drink gallons of this stuff. Try it.. that's all I am asking.. I want emails about what you think about it too!

Before grocery shopping and after, I spent it in the car..

driving around searching for that dog..

In town.. out of town.. around the neighborhood, in the woods.. you name it I looked there. Scott had to work till 8 pm so I had to do the majority of looking for him. Still he was no where to be found. My mom keeps saying he will be back and helping to keep us hopeful but it feels pretty hopeless right now. Scott came home and I got dinner cooked..

Tonight was..

BLT night. Super easy for a late night and we ate watching Dancing with the Stars.. Once 9 pm came, we turned it to House so I am finishing the last dances now.. and will talk more in a few minutes about it and more to come tomorrow about it too!

I decided after a long day of hunting for the dog the only thing that was going to make me feel better was a long hot bath.. and guess who joined me?

All the boys! They love watching the water in the bath tub. I want them to get socialized with everything. That's what will make them good cats. On the other side..

their sister Willow watched and so did our baby female - Sweet Pea - but she jumped down to be with her mommy who was laying on the floor before I could get a picture of her... You might wonder why I had the camera upstairs while I was taking a a bath.. but I was working on pictures of a shampoo and conditioner that I am reviewing. That post should be up tomorrow..

Scott and I did go back out again to look for the dog.. We drove around in the dark praying to see him but still no Cooper. I just hope he is ok. Tomorrow we are back on the hunt.. That should make blogging a little less.. so don't be alarmed if you don't hear much from me. Scott is taking the entire day off and I think we are going hiking in the woods to look from him and I am sure we will drive around more too. Plus we are putting flyers out. Mom warned me not actually put them in the mailboxes.. just tape them to the side.. I think I am going to listen.. I don' t want to get arrested for a federal crime over that dog. Again.. I am really concerned about him. I know a lot of people think I don't care because I am clearly a cat person.. but I raised that dog and I spend more time with him than Scott ever does.. he is at work 70-80 hours a week so I do care about him. I think when Scott is around, he doesn' t listen like he should but when its just us.. he listens just fine. So he is in my prayers and I just want him home. If you are reading this.. please say a prayer too.. We need all the help we can get to bring him home.

Ok.. on to Dancing with the Stars. Wow. tonight was a big night.. JR is still by far the best dancer.. I mean with the armatures. Again.. I LOVE MAX... Is that just not a beautiful man? Omg.. I sooooo have a crush on him.. I would let him toss me all around that dance floor! I will have much much more on it tomorrow.. ( if I have time, that is ) but I think Nancy Grace is gone..I love her but its time to say good bye. I also love watching Derick..That little guy can really dance.. and fun to watch!

Well.. I am going to feed my cats.. get to bed so I can get up tomorrow to look for the dog.. Maybe God will put him on the front porch when we get up.. Fingers Crossed..

Sweet Dreams.

Do It Yourself Pumpkin Spice Latte!!!

Ok.. The thought of bittersweet pumpkin aroma rising above layers of foam, whipped cream and spice is enough to drag most latte lovers out of bed on mornings when the wind starts to carry a bite.

My friend and I were discussing coffee yesterday and how we both spend more $ on it than we should. She spends around $6.00  a day.. and sometimes more than that if she has more than 1 coffee.. Right now she is pregnant and isn't drinking coffee but that got me to thinking!! I tend to buy expensive coffee.. but not by the cup.. I like the beans and I make my own good coffee at home..Even more of a reason to hunt down a great Fall Cup of Coffee!!

When Starbucks started serving the pumpkin spice latte in October 2005, sales jumped 11 percent higher than the previous, pumpkin-less October. And for the past six autumns, our taste buds have led us back to our friends who make such yummy coffee creations

But a lot of people don't have the extra $ to spend on expensive coffee right now..and not everyone has a Starbucks close to them.. I know.. how could that be. .but believe me..there are many areas with no Starbucks!

So I dug around and found this recipe.. for Do It Yourself Pumpkin Spice Latte!

DIY pumpkin spice latte

Servings: 2

Ingredients:

2 cups milk

3 tablespoons canned pumpkin

2 tablespoons sugar

1 tablespoon vanilla

1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice, plus more for garnish

1 cup strong brewed coffee

Whipped cream

Cinnamon, optional

Combine milk, pumpkin and sugar in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring, until steaming. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla and 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin spice. Whisk the mixture until foamy. Transfer into two mugs, filling each only half way; top with coffee. Garnish with a dollop of whipped cream and a dash of pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon.

Hope you give it a try!

And C.B. → YOU REALLY MIGHT LOVE THIS!! TRY IT!!
