Crackle, Lifetime And PBS Join Fanhattan Lineup On iPad

 

Fanhattan for iPad, the entertainment discovery service, keeps improving and today added three more content providers to its arsenal.

First released in June, Fanhattan for iPad lets users discover more about their favorite TV programs and movies. More importantly, the app shows where the show is available for streaming, and when appropriate, opens the necessary app for viewing.

Today’s update, which was announced via the Fanhattan Blog, includes the addition of content from Crackle, Lifetime and PBS. These join Netflix, Hulu Plus, iTunes, Vudu and ABC as additional content providers.

Crackle features great full-length movies and television, new and old ˜ and all for free. Sorting through the Crackle library is an adventure in itself and we‚re having a blast watching such films as Das Boot, Donnie Brasco, Snatch, A Few Good Men, and even the quirky beloved sci-fi romp Starship Troopers. Lifetime

We can remember when we first heard about Project Accessory, the Lifetime fashion battle series starring Molly Sims: yes please! In this show, Sims and celebrity judges including the Kenneth Cole evaluate and review (with a little mentoring along the way) fashion accessory creations from budding designers. You‚re going to watch it and now you can. What else? How about How I Met Your Motherstarring Mr. Neil Patrick Harris and The Muppets screenwriter Jason Segel? The New Adventures of Old Christine and The Protector round out a fantastic carving of Lifetime content.

I follow Jim Tobias at inclusive.com (you should, too!) and really enjoyed his highlighting of "ESPN explaining captioning" (http://inclusive.com/2011/11/espn-explains-captioning/). British Apple Fans Can Now Enjoy Live TV On An iOS Device For Free

 

A great website has just come to our attention called “TeeVeePlayr,” which allows British Apple fans to watch live TV on an iOS device for free.

You can access a whole load of UK TV channels (after registering with the service) on an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch with an Internet connection. Once you’ve signed up and logged in to the service, touching a channel from the selection presented will, after an ad plays, open a live stream. (You might be directed over to TVCatchup, another website, when playing a video – don’t worry, this website worked fine for us and didn’t require a paid account either.)

The quality of the live streams is good enough (not perfect, but you can’t complain when it’s free, can you?), and it’s also possible to pause streams on an iOS device.

That's right, you can watch episodes of Eastenders on your iPhone for free!

If you live in the United Kingdom it’s also possible to view the BBC’s channels on an iPad for free using the BBC iPlayer app. However, if you want to enjoy channels such as ITV, Channel 4 and Dave, take a look at this service now, and be sure to let us know how it works for you in the comments.

The End Of My Day

Hello everyone!

 Hope you had a really good Tuesday. It was a busy day around the house for me. I woke up, had 1 cup of coffee and then got busy upstairs.

First thing I did was

Toss all the laundry down stairs. This works better than trying to carry it down all those steps.

You see that landing above the door with the electrical outlet. I need to find some pretty Christmas decorations up there! Hummmm.. anyway..

I got some fresh sheets on husbys bed..

And thinking now.. maybe I should have put some other sheets on his bed.

These 400-thread-count sateen sheets from Peacock Alley and I can just see the dog wallowing around on them. Might have to change them tomorrow again and put some cheaper sheets on his bed. These cost almost $ 60.00 ( not bragging, just saying ) and I have never owned JUST SHEETS that cost that much. What possessed me to put them on his bed today, I don't know.

I took about 40 minutes upstairs zipping around, cleaning up and wiped down 2 bathrooms and vacuumed and even took about a 6 minute shower and did my make up in about 5 minutes. I was on a roll!

I was heading downstairs when I snapped this picture.

I have boxes all lined up against the railing for the kittens. I didn't really know what to do to keep them from falling over. And they are so small that fall would kill them. So this is whats working. I know they would just go over the boxes but they don't. I think they would fall off by accident from rough housing from each other and this prevents that. Not too attractive though. I actually thought about getting a huge box of plastic wrap and going back and forth with it to shield it but I just haven't.

Anyway, I came downstairs, grabbed my

handy dandy feather dusted and swiped over everything that would stand still..

Then a few minutes later I got the total downstairs

vacuumed and then I had a break, enjoyed some lunch and then cleaned out the dishwasher and cleaned up the kitchen. In about 2/12 hours the house was working and I was also working on

laundry too. You know.. I have heard people say I am Scott's maid but truthfully, I don't mind because I like a clean house. And the things I am doing is not just for Scott. Duhhh.. Its for me and the animals too. I was happy with the way the house looked after just a few hours of work. I have always said you don't have to do things perfect, you have to do them. My house is far from spotless and I don't really mind. As long as its a organized mess, I can handle it!

There was a lot of drama with Scott today. Not with us or anything but his work was a hectic day. I am not suppose to talk about it for a few weeks but things are changing!

I got busy on a quick comforting dinner tonight because it was the last show of Dancing with the Stars and I couldn't miss it!!

I browned up some Chicken breast that I cut in strips.

set them aside. Then took some

rice and

browned it up ( per the boxes instructions )

added the water and the seasonings

then took the chicken added it.

mixed it up

covered it up.

 ( I didn't feel like digging for the glass lid that goes with this skillet so I grabbed this one that I use for everything. It looks like its been to hell and back but I like it a lot! )

After letting it cook for about 15 minutes on med low

it was done!

thats my bite!!

Then I mashed up some

potatoes. I don't care. I like mashed potatoes with this meal!

Popped some corn in the microwave and then got stared on dessert.

I took some pears and topped them with some vanilla sugar

and the smell was amazing.

If you just take some sugar and add your vanilla beans and store in an air tight container you

will have a heaven in a jar!

I love this stuff.

You can use it with anything from coffee to fruits, french toast to even bland cereal. Its really good.

Before I knew it

Dinner was plated up

and I was ready to eat.

This meal is so tasty and comforting and so easy.

After dinner it was time for

Dancing with the stars!

Husby got busy getting his clothes ready for tomorrow.

Our iron broke the other day so this is just a cheap one to get us through

Scott got a shower and was in bed when the weather started to turn

Another big storm and there were all kinds of tornado warnings going on. I woke him and let him know and he didn't much care!

Look who won!!

I figured he would! Its funny everyone I know was pulling for other people. My friend wanted Rob to win because he was the underdog, my mom wanted Ricki Lake to win, I wanted Max to win but my other pick was JR. He is a great dancer and I am sure all the military guys love that it was him.

I wonder what show is going to take its place.. Btw.. Have you guys seen how Oprahs time slot has been filled by ANDERSON COOPER. OMG.. He is so sweet looking and kind. I haven't watched it yet but I recorded it today on my bedroom tv and when I go to bed I will be watching it! Super excited to see how he does! I will let  you guys know tomorrow what I think of it!

Well its 2 am and I have to make the coffee and get to bed.

To Bed I Go!!!!

I don't know where the time has went tonight. I swear, just 30 minutes ago ( so it seems ) was 8 pm. Time just flew by tonight. Scott came home stressed out from work and was in bed within an hour and a half of getting home. We had a long talk tonight. Still, I am sure we will talk more tomorrow. But we are ok. Just a stressful time in many many ways. The key thing is that we don't take it out on each other. I love that man more than words. He has given me so much love and support over 8 years and with this - new - situation that's what I have to do for him. I told him tonight, I would follow him across the world, just to be with him. I know that won't change inside me. I need to work hard with this new thing going on because I owe him that to say the least. So that's the plan. When he says I can say what it is.. I will. But right now and for a while he wants me to be a little more reserved than normal. I probably won't be mentioning it much more but I felt I should say something because it's what upset me last night. But nothing to worry about. Its a blessing and my fears will go away and we will handle it in any way we need to and with as much love as possible. I'm trying.. life is just complex in so many ways and I just always stumble with change!

With time passing so fast tonight, I didn't get the dinner post up.. But I made the chicken pot pie from all the left overs from the roasted chicken dinner. I loved it and husby seemed to like it a lot too. He had 2 servings so it was a hit! We even have some left overs for lunch tomorrow.

Speaking of tomorrow, Scott is off work. So I am sure we will just be spending the day together around here. I am happy..I think we need the time together. I don't think we have any big plans or anything. Just taking the day as it comes. I have some handy man things I want him to do and we are on the hunt for a lost box around here too. We still have a room full of boxes - the study - and I need to get in there and work but we are also missing a important box that I was going to send a friend before the move..and now its gone MIA. So finding that is on the to do list!

Did any of you guys watch 20/20 tonight. It was about the recovery Gabrielle Giffords. Wow, is all I can say. What a inspiring woman. It totally warms my heart to see her getting well after being shot point blank in the head. Her husband the astronaut Mark Kelly was also inspiring. I sure hope my husband would be the same with me. He takes his vows very serious and I really loved watching him take care of her. I also loved how she smiles all the time. Clearly she is not the same person anymore. She can't speak in sentences either but she is getting there, one day at a time. Very Very Inspiring Look Into Her Life Now. I loved it and it appreciate my life.

On to more tv news.. Have any of you seen the trailer for Iron Lady with Meryl Streep????? Is there anything that woman cannot do!? I can't wait to see it.. I mean.. seriously.. I might have to go alone to the movies in the afternoon if husby does not want to go see it... But maybe with the new early premier pay per view option with Time Warner, I can see it before it comes to the theaters! I sure hope so!

Gosh.. every movie she does is excellent and this one doesn't seem to be any different. Look at the transformation with the hair and make up.. Extraordinary. It's like she channels these people and it just flows. I don't know how she does it but I sure love her movies. And if you haven't noticed.. she has gotten better with time. I think that is the case for all of us though! But I can't wait to see this movie.. A movie about strong independent woman who changed her country is priceless to me.

Excited!!



It's suppose to be the most eagerly awaited film performance of the year, but is also already proving to be the most controversial. I think mainly because Lady Thatcher is still alive and also the movie shows the issues she is having with dementia. Plus I think that an American playing this role is a little hard for some to take but I think she got the accent, look and mannerisms right.



You guys know I love movies!! I could go on and on but I will stop now.. But, do any of you guys plan on seeing this? I am curious so email me!!



Ohh..I must tell you guys that I deleted my hellocotton account.. Well its not totally deleted but there will be no new post showing up on it and tomorrow I am hoping its gone for good. I also took the link off the blog. I realized today with some super dooper Internet program that my stalker friend was using this site to still read this blog and I needed to stop it. Not too many of you guys use this anyway.. so I am not going to really loose any sleep over it being gone. Anything to keep her away. I even found out she is in contact with that drama queen lawyer I was telling you guys about. I guess she googled it and found her.. and now probably stalking her too.. that's fine.. as long as she stays away from me. She also took down all the blog post of mine that she copied and pasted from my blog to hers. I did save it to windows with screen shots just to keep a record and when its time to lock her ass up, I am sure that will help! I love her being blocked.. Wooooo-hoooo!!! Also if you want to know how I finally figured out how to do it.. just email me and I will be more than happy to share!



I am also going to be working on my kitty cat website too. I know I have really neglected it and I need to update it and really get it back in order. I won't put a ton of post on it because this is where I blog most, but I need to update it.. Stay tuned for that! Speaking of my kitty cats, they are wanting their late night snack so I am going to do that and get to bed!

Dancing.. Dancing.. Dancing.. with the STARS!!!

Ok friends.. You know I LOVE ballroom dancing by now.. I had to been a dancer in one of past lives because my legs even twitch when I am watching!! Last night's dances were the best yet!! I loved them!! I didn't get a post done last night because we were still all upset over the dog.. and I just didn't get it done..

So first.. here are the dances from last nights dances..

First off this was THE BEST DANCE OF THE NIGHT.. 10's across the board.. I mean.. JR can really dance and he looks beautiful doing it.. This was one of my most favorite dances of his EVER!!

I am pretty sure you all know my love affair with Max but that's not the only reason I loved this dance.. I think this was by far one of the best dances for Hope in the entire season!

I also loved Ricki's dance too..

And here is Nancy's dance..

I love Nancy but I don't know how she made it this far!

I am not crazy about Rob Kardashian so I didn't put it on here. Sorry.. I just didn't see the point.. These are MY favorite dances and dancers..

Now also last night, they a instant dance..

Again.. JR did amazing!!!!! All 10's again!!

Now.. here is sexy boy..

Is that just not a beautiful man!? I might get into trouble with the husby for this but I could watch that beautiful man all night long.. WOW!!!!!

I loved it and going to see if I can find tickets to a show that will be in our area in the coming months!

Well tonight has been a video night with the GUN VIDEO POST and now this one!!!

I love Dancing with the Stars.. and I think we all know who is going to win it!!! We will just have to wait to find out.. Can't wait till next Monday!!

QUESTION...

I was watching Oprah's Life Class the other night and she said she went to the Facebook headquarters and she said they had the above sign on one of  their walls.

Is that not a powerful question?

I wonder what your answer would be to this question.. My answer is a long list of things.. It really got me thinking.. and I am posing this question to YOU.. to get you thinking.. For me, since I heard this question.. I have thought of it 20x a day.. if not more.

Sweet Dreams

Hello everyone! Hope you had a great Friday!!! I didn't get near as much accomplished today that I should have but o-well.. We all have those days right!? It was a cold rainy day here and I didn't even want to leave the house. I think that's a good thing because every time I do leave I some how end up at CVS buying more stuff.

I did encounter a very big drama queen today via the Internet. I am not going to really get into much. I was going to do a post about it but I figured by doing so it would come back to get me in the end...but all I can say is the poor son of bitch that married her has to have his hands full. Thank God I only had to deal with her for a day.

Scott came home.. sick again. I wish he would get feeling better. He just moped around here. I hate it when husby is sick. It doesn't help that he doesn't like to take his meds like he should. He stayed up long enough to eat dinner and then he went right to bed..

For dinner tonight.. I made

yummy pasta!

I am such a pasta girl!

I was on the phone with my grandmother the other day and we were talking about food and she told me that she needs to go back on a diet.. She is in her 70's.. I couldn't believe she said that! I have NEVER been on a diet in my life. I am sure I would fail miserably if I even attempted it! My idea of a diet is no deserts on weekdays and that's about as much as I can do! Thankfully my weight has never been an issue for me. Because if it had.. I'd weigh a 1000 pounds!

Anyway.. after Scott went to bed.. I didn't do much.. It was quiet and I just loved on my kittys and I did get some laundry done..

I am so in love with these kittens.. I have no idea how I am going to part with them. I am sure I will find a way because I have to make room for the next litter that comes our way. I am pretty sure I am taking some of the money from selling a couple of them to buy another male and female.. For a while, I was convinced that I would stop breeding cats because housing a male un neutered cat is not easy.. but as time has passed, I have learned how to cope better with it. The happiness these cats bring into our lives in priceless. Scott loves them as much as I do.. The only one who is not as happy about a houseful of cats is Super Cooper but he is adapting! For you guys who don't know.. he's a big golden retriever who I think actually thinks he's a cat. A big cat! He really is pretty easy going with them and God knows if he was to hurt one of my cats he would find himself outside in a new dog house!

Anyway.. back to tonight.. I did watch an AMAZING movie. I know I have been slacking on the movie reviews.. but I will for sure do a very detailed one tomorrow on the movie I watched. I don't know how many of you guys have seen it but once the post goes live.. I think more of you will watch it. So be on the look out for that review tomorrow.. It's one you won't want to miss!

We don't really have any plans for this weekend. I am hoping that tomorrow after Scott gets home, we can just cuddle up in the bed and find a good movie to watch. I miss him while he is working. I have adapted pretty well to his long hours but by the end of the week, I am always missing him. So really happy the weekend is here!

I did get to organizing some of the closets around here today! I feel so accomplished when I get something done. I hate long task that take forever.. I like things that I can start and finish in a day. Still more things to unpack and maybe Sunday I can get to work in the study. This house is big and I am still trying to find the right places to put things! Really happy we found this house!

Anyway.. I am heading to bed!

LONG Late Night Post

As I start this blog post.. I am watching my kittens destroy kitty city.. Yep.. They are having at it.. The jingly balls are just a ringing! Love they are so happy with it. I still have the other kitty city in the garage but thinking tomorrow I better get it brought into the house! One just came up to me, sat right in the middle of my lap.

You know thinking about my cats brings me to something many of you have heard about..

Do you guys remember about the man who had all the exotic animals in Zanesville Ohio who let them loose and then took his own life last week? I purposely didn't do a post about it because I was so freaking upset with what had happened. 

This is Terry Thompson. Picture from People. He had an exotic animal farm about 20 miles from where I use to live in Ohio. In fact, my mom came and worked in Zanesville when we lived there. Anyway, he set 56 wild animals loose before taking his own life.

The police came in and killed 49 of these animals. The picture below is graphic.. If you choose to not want to see it.. I would exit this post now.. I am leaving some room so maybe you wont see it if you don't want to. just exit the blog right here..

Here they are. Lions, Bears, Tigers, Monkeys, and the list goes on and on. DEAD.. I about died when I heard what they did to these animals and I was beside myself about it. I even dreamed about them one night. It weighed heavily on my heart. All these animals were loved and well taken care of. I know some of you might have heard he had animal cruelty charges against him but it was not for animal abuse. It was in reference to a dead cow on his property. Anyway.. back to what I was saying.. he occasionally used them for photo shoots or commercials but these animals were not his pay day. They were his loves. Authorities said that they could not  tranquilize them because night time was falling and the animals would not just fall over asleep. That it would take a while and they would run until they did indeed pass out. There are only 1400 wild bangle tigers left in the world.. now 8 of those have been shot dead. I understand that peoples lives are much more valuable than animals but killing all of these animals just made me sick. But six of the animals were tranquilized and taken to an area zoo. So why not the others?  I don't know about you.. but when I see these animals laying dead in the picture above I just want to cry. If my husband had fired a bullet at any of them.. he would probably be sleeping in a hotel for looong while. I am really sad for them. I think he just wanted to set them free and give him happiness as he left this earth. I bet he never thought they would all be shoot dead. I am comforted a little that at least they are with him now on the other side. This brings me to thinking about should be people really be allowed to own such exotic animals? Ohio has some of the most loose laws in the country regarding this. Cats and Bears are a passion of mine. Have been since I was born, I think. I am so sorry for them having to die. It truly breaks my heart. So while you go on with your Wednesday.. take time to think about what these poor animals were put through the last moments of their lives and say a prayer for them as well as their owner. I had to wait to write about this because if I would have wrote any kind of post on day 1 it would have had so many curse words in it. I was furious. I couldn't believe that was the route they took.. I really couldn't believe it. So sad. My heart goes out to them.. I am outraged that they couldn't have come up with something better than this. Its like a whole bunch of rednecks got together and went hunting..it makes me sick. I need to think about something else before I start crying..

Well.. tonight was pretty easy..

Here's what I made for dinner..

While I was shopping today, I saw this chicken helper and decided to try it..

All you do is dice up the chicken.. Remember to not do this on your wood cutting board.. You need to do it on a plastic one so all those nasty chicken germs can really be washed off.

Brown up the chicken..

Add what the box tell you.. and let it cook for a 20 minutes or so.

In the mean time.. I made this..

Salad..

And that brings me to one of my favorite salad dressings..

This Newmans Own Poppy Seed dressing is a great poppy seed dressing.. Its one of my favorites..

I got dinner served up but really the best part of dinner was..

this salad. It was so good. I crave salads  a lot.. this one was good!

The chicken helper was ok. I tend to hate all hamburger helpers so I wanted to try this one. Nothing special.. but it worked!

Scott and I watched tv for a while.. We watched Chaz Bono get voted off the stars. I know not many were crazy about how he became a he.. but you know.. it takes a lot of courage to live a life that is true of yourself. He never felt like a female. So he changed it.. I think there is something honorable about that. And I also think he looks better as a he than he ever did as a she! =)

Scott went to bed shortly after.. and I got busy cleaning the house. I got the kitchen cleaned and floor mopped and then I started on the living room.. I got it picked up and got it vacuumed too. I didn't feel much like cleaning today. So I got it done tonight. On my way home from the grocery store.. I got really sick while I was driving. pulled over in a church parking lot and waited about 10-15 minutes until the feeling passed. It was super strange. Came on in just a few seconds.. only lasted about 25 minutes total but it was horrible. So thankful I was able to pull over. I might have wrecked if I hadn't. So yea.. that wasn't too good. But I did get feeling better thankfully.

Tomorrow after Scott gets off work we are heading over to our friends house to move him into his girlfriends house! Yea!! I am really really happy he is moving in with her. She is having his baby and she is so crazy about him so I know that they will be happy together. I am not always crazy about moving people but he helped us move 3 times I think. So got to repay that favor back! So around 6pm.. you can find me moving him!

Well its late.. I need to try to get to sleep soon.

Swagger always seems to end up there. Funny thing is, I just kinda find a place to lay my head without disturbing him!

Ohhh.. I just gave myself bangs a few minutes ago too! Ha! I had to put down the scissors because I loooove cutting hair and if I let myself.. I will cut all my hair off. The reason for the bangs is, my hair is always in my eyes.. so I fixed that!

Anyway, this post turned out wayyy longer than expected..
