NCD Report Examines How to Improve Access to Critical Services for USMC Family Members with Disabilities

 

The National Council on Disability (NCD) has released a report that looks at the challenges of Marines with "Exceptional Family Members (EFM)," or family members with disabilities. The report, United States Marine Corps Exceptional Family Members: How to Improve Access to Health Care, Special Education, and Long-term Supports and Services for Family Members with Disabilities, shows that access to health care, special education and other supports for these families needs to be improved. EEOC Public Meeting - November 16

 

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) will hold a public meeting on November 16, 2011 at 8:30 a.m. Eastern Time in Washington, DC. The following matters will be considered during the meeting: Vote on “Final Regulation on Disparate Impact and Reasonable Factors Other Than Age” under the Age Discrimination in Employment Act and a panel discussion on “Overcoming Barriers to the Employment of Veterans with Disabilities.” Also, the EEOC will examine unlawful discrimination in employment and other challenges that Veterans with disabilities may face.
